They keep ringing me and as soon as I pick up and it gets through to someone, the call just drops straight away. I reckon it’s a trick to make you ring back, and I’d guess they make some cash from those callback charges.

Got a call where the line was silent for ages, I didn’t say anything but the quiet went on way too long for it to be normal. Feels like it could be some sort of new scam tactic. Maybe they’re trying to grab your voice or record you for shady stuff like setting up fake bank accounts or loans. Could also be a sneaky way to get you involved in a fake survey with dodgy ends. Proper dodgy behaviour, watch out.
