I got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying there was a problem with my router. When I asked them to prove who they were, they rattled off a long registration code linked to my computer and walked me through checking it. Something didn’t sit right, so I told them they should send me a letter first before calling. If it were legit, I reckon they’d approach me more professionally.
