Best to just disconnect! I received a pre-recorded call purporting to be from Amazon Prime, stating that my subscription had been renewed for £39.95. If I didn’t recognise this transaction, they instructed me to hit 1 for further assistance. Sure enough, I got connected to someone keen on fishing for my bank details under the pretense of issuing a ‘refund’. It’s an obvious scam, and I could smell something fishy from a mile away!
