Got a call about some “solar heating” offer… they asked if I owned the house, but when I told them I was just renting, they hung up straight away. Got a call from a young guy with an English accent, telling me I had some sort of medical condition - which is rubbish! He kept going on about an emergency pendant or something. I told him I was in the middle of work and to sod off! I’ve blocked the number now, seems dodgy and like they want my personal info, so definitely not to be trusted!

This afternoon, I received a call from a chap claiming to be my local health care worker, going by the name of Sam. He mentioned that I had been flagged for some health concerns-which, to be fair, isn't entirely untrue-and that I qualified for an alert pendant. It all felt rather suspect, and I politely declined his offer for the necklace. He expressed regret regarding my choice, but I simply ended the conversation there. It's worth noting that there were quite a few lengthy silences during the call, which made me suspect that his responses were perhaps pre-recorded or scripted. Quite odd, if you ask me!

It sounded like he was trying to be some sort of local health worker, but when I asked him what exactly he was calling for, he just kept repeating the same lines over and over. Proper fishy!

I got a call from this number where they just asked if I could hear them clearly. When I said yes, they immediately cut the call. It kinda made me think of those common phone scams from banks.

Got a call from someone pushing a medical alert system. When they asked for my info, I told them I’m Father Christmas, living way up at the North Pole, and that I’m 570 years old. The person on the line sounded proper serious and actually asked for my postcode after that! Figured it was a load of rubbish and ended the call right away. Total scam attempt!

A bloke rang me, saying he was from the health care sector with a very posh English accent. He claimed I qualified for a free medical alert gadget because of my age and some health stuff. I asked who in my family he meant, but he just brushed off the question and kept going with his sales spiel. When I asked for his company’s name, he didn’t answer and just kept pushing his script. Then he tried to get me to agree to send the device straight away. So, I just ended the call. Definitely a dodgy scam.

I just had an intriguing phone call from this number, and the gentleman on the line spoke quite eloquently. He simply asked, “Hello, are you able to hear me?” I replied affirmatively, but oddly enough, he didn’t say another word. In the background, I could make out other voices murmuring, so I decided to drop the call, assuming it was likely from a call centre.

I got a call from a number that was local, so I thought it might have been important, perhaps even a family matter. I decided to ring them back. SCAM ALERT - Got a call from a bloke with an English accent named Sam. He was going on about Medical Lifeline Alerts and these pendants, trying to push them hard. Got a ring about some medical exemption thing, sounded like one of those health care scams. They’d ask something, you reply, then this weird quiet pause like it’s processing what you said and picking a response. I repeated the same answers a few times, throwing in some ‘umms’ and ‘errs’ at the exact spots. Some bloke named Sam rang me up saying I had health problems. I kept asking him how he got that information but he just stuck to his script and ignored every question I asked. Eventually, I just hung up on him cos it was pointless.

Got a call from a guy claiming he was with some healthcare service nearby. He said he’d checked my medical files and knew I had a few health issues, then asked if I knew I could get a free emergency alarm pendant since I might be prone to falling. I told him thanks but no thanks, explained I don’t live alone, so I’m alright, and then ended the call.

Got a robo call trying to sell me one of those medical alert things. When I asked which company he was with, he just brushed it off and kept going on about the product. Ended up just hanging up on him.

Somebody rang up saying they worked in local healthcare but when I asked them to confirm my postcode, they had no clue. Pretty clear it was a scam.

They told me my medical background qualified me for a free medical alert, but I told them I didn't require it since my husband is here. Besides, nothing's ever truly free, there's always some hidden fee. Funny enough, my husband mentioned he's received the same call before.

Didn't pick up, no idea who it was.

Some bloke rang me claiming the council passed on my number, saying I qualified for a free medical alert button since I was apparently over 70. When I told him I wasn’t that old, he lowered the age to over 60. I had to tell him I’m not even over 60! Then, he said he ‘respected my choice’. He sounded like he was just reading from a script. If someone says they don’t meet the age requirements, that’s not a ‘choice’ - it’s a simple fact!

Somebody rang up saying they were from the local area offering a pendant alarm. Thing is, I live quite far from there, so I knew straight away it was dodgy. My mum told the caller she already had one from the council, but he just wouldn’t stop going on about it. Eventually she got bored and hung up. Then, weirdly, he rang back and did the exact same spiel again. After that, we just blocked the number completely.

Just got a call from a strange number so I didn’t pick up, thought it was probably a scam.

I received a rather curious call from someone named 'Sam', who identified himself as 'my local health worker'. He mentioned that I was eligible for a lanyard fitted with an emergency button, which would allow me to summon assistance if needed. Strangely, he seemed to possess details regarding my health records. Despite my repeated inquiries about his employer and whether he was affiliated with the NHS, he bypassed my questions and persistently continued his pitch. This marks the second time I've had the same individual ring me. I eventually ended the call, but it is quite alarming that this person or organisation is contacting individuals while posing as a health professional. What’s particularly unnerving is that his voice sounded genuine-more like a real person rather than the typical robotic tones associated with call centre operations.

Got a call at 9.05am on 2/7/24 from someone claiming to be part of a Health care team. Like someone else mentioned here, he sounded really awkward and unsure at first. Once he started reading from his script, he just wouldn't stop, even after I told him I wasn’t interested in an alert pendant and I don’t appreciate unexpected calls. Eventually managed to say goodbye, but it was a struggle.

Without a doubt, this is a scam. If it asks you any questions, never say yes. It usually kicks off with saying "you hear me". Better just hang up straight away.

They claimed they had a list from doctors for people who should get a health warning.

Phone rang but went straight to answer machine, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from 01280 852 186 earlier today, 1/7/24. The caller somehow seemed to know about my health problems or maybe just guessed. They were trying to sell me a free medical alert device, claiming they were located in Dorset, whereas I’m actually in Somerset. The bloke sounded really awkward and kept stumbling over his words, so I told him I was knackered and would speak to my health and wellbeing coach about it, then hung up. It didn’t feel like a typical scammer at first, but when I looked it up on 'who called me', it turns out it's marked as a SCAM!

I got a call from some automated system featuring a young guy's voice going by "Sam". It sounded like it was trying to catch you saying yes or no by making you press buttons, but there weren’t many options to pick from. Didn’t seem like you could actually talk back or ask anything because it’s just pre-recorded messages, not a live person.

Got a call from this number around half past five in the evening. They told me I had some health issue, but I told them I was fine and ended the call right away. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Got a random call from some guy claiming to be a health worker nearby. Turns out he was calling from England, but I live up in Scotland! Didn’t bother listening, just ended the call straight away.

Got a call on the 1st of July 2024 around 9:35 in the morning. I heard a guy, sounded like he was in his mid 20s, say my number and then asked if I could hear him. I said yes, but right after that, the call just dropped. I've blocked the number through 1572 now.

I'm pretty sure it's a scam. I told them I wanted two pendants since I've got two heads. Not sure if it was some sort of robot or AI calling. I'm registered with TPS, so no idea how they managed to reach me.

Got a call from someone named Sam saying they were from the local health service around here, but they just dropped the call right after. I’ve gone ahead and blocked that number now.

Seems like Sam's switched his calls over to Scotland or somewhere round there. He started talking about me having some health problems, but when I asked exactly what he meant, he just kept quiet. It's like they’re taught to just talk over you and ignore what you’re saying. I told him nicely to get lost. It's crazy how these cold callers just don’t care about TPS numbers at all.
