Got a call on my home line from a woman claiming to be from my bank, asking if a Western Union payment was genuine and telling me to press a button to talk to someone. I just ended the call. What’s really annoying is the number showed up as being local to me. Usually if the call isn’t from around here, I just let it go to answerphone, but because it looked like it was from nearby I picked up, thinking I might know them. But I guess numbers can be faked no matter what. Lesson learnt: never pick up unless you recognise the number! Such a pain!
