Got a call from someone saying they were with Virgin Mobile, but I don’t even use them as my phone company.

Some bloke called claiming he was Sam from O2, warning me my number was about to be blocked. He said the only way to stop it was by signing up for a new contract. Didn't say why it'd be blocked in the first place, just said I ‘needed’ a new deal straight away. I asked if he was really from O2, pointing out the caller ID showed 02, not the usual 01280732444 number. When I told him he wasn't legit, he just cut me off. Another scam attempt if you ask me.

Somebody called saying they were from Virgin Media, but their English was really bad and I could barely make out what they were saying. They told me my SIM card would get blocked in a couple of days. When I just said 'fine, block it then', they ended the call on me.
