Received a call today from some chaps insisting that we owe them a sum of £22. Quite frankly, we find that hard to believe! We made the switch to a new internet provider back in April 2007, and Orange was particularly unhelpful, refusing to send us the necessary code for the transition. It was only after we cancelled the direct debit that they finally provided the code. We had been assured by their customer service at the time that everything was settled, and here we are with this unexpected debacle! When I brought up "Watchdog" during the conversation, the bloke on the other end seemed rather flustered and ended the call abruptly. Honestly, what's going on with these companies?

Today, I received a rather perplexing call from a company identified as DLC, which is apparently a debt collection agency. They informed me that I supposedly owe £32.25 to Orange Broadband, dating back to July 2007! However, I must clarify that I've never been a customer of theirs. Quite baffling, really!

Take a gander at the Consumer Action Group's website, particularly the forums dedicated to debt collection. You’ll soon discover that this firm is quite infamous on that platform, where you'll find heaps of invaluable advice on how to deal with them effectively. Once you’ve got CAG backing you, you’ll find that DLC will lose interest in your case faster than you can blink!

We received a call from this number, and the moment we answered, an automated voice came on. It asked if we were (my child's name) and instructed us to press 1 if we were or 2 if we weren't. I'm curious if anyone else has encountered these folks? Cheers!

It’s undoubtedly those Orange broadband chaps, those insufferable little nuisances! A couple of years back, we received an unpaid bill for £58, and it appears these are the dunderheads handling it all.

So, we gave them a bell today, and they claim we owe a hefty £22. Quite frankly, we doubt that! We switched our internet provider back in April '07, and it was a right faff getting the code from Orange to facilitate the transfer. It wasn't until we cancelled the direct debit that they finally sent us the necessary details. At that time, they assured us everything was in order, and now this kerfuffle arises! When we spoke to the chap today, we asked if he’s ever seen “Watchdog,” and he just hung up on us. Unbelievable!

I've been receiving persistent calls from these folks, day in and day out, at the most inconvenient times. It’s clearly a robotic voice on the other end, and they keep hounding me about a supposedly outstanding £40 bill with Orange from two years back. It's utterly maddening!

We've ended up with the same situation as we did back in 2007, but this time it’s happening today, and it’s about 30 minutes long. What should our next steps be?
