Some bloke called himself David from EDF Energy and was telling me I had to renew my fixed two-year deal a whole year early, or else they'd shove me onto some three-year flexible contract. I told him I'd check my contract since what he said didn’t sound right. Then he totally lost it and started getting all pushy, saying I had just 20 minutes to decide. I've sent the info over to EDF’s fraud department so they can have a proper look.

Someone said they were from "BRITISH GAS" and I asked for their reference number, which department they were from, and their name - just like British Gas says to do. When I mentioned I'd check their details and ring back if everything was legit, the person began pressuring me to deal with it immediately and kept pushing. I just said goodbye and ended the call. Since then, they've rung me about six times in just 10 minutes. Definitely a scam, and pretty annoying too.
