When I called it back, a man answered but just said, “Sorry, there’s a fault,” after a couple of rings. Later, I rang TalkTalk and got a lady from Germany who started asking for my name, if I was calling from my home number, my address, and even my email. She said she’d email me instructions to get back to 01280348852. I told her not to send anything as I wouldn’t trust any email from them. Then she transferred me to “tech support,” where a guy said he was based in the Philippines. When I asked for a good time for a call back, he mentioned his manager would reach out within 72 hours to sort things out.
