So I got a call from someone saying they were from my internet company, telling me there was a problem they could sort out. Then they started asking for payment through a gift card, which sounded dodgy to me. Honestly, I’d say don’t hand over any cash to these people because paying up won’t promise you get your stuff back. Just keep things easy and don’t let them get into your computer, that’s the best way to stay safe.

got a call from someone saying they were with bt and that hackers from overseas were messing with my computer, they said they could fix it for me. i just ended the call straight away.
