Got a couple of calls from someone using a fake name, was about home improvements, but they hung up on me both times. Seriously, these scammers should get fined for all this cold calling nonsense - they couldn’t even act legit!

Reference: 01279 729134 I decided to give them a ring back after hours to find out who had been trying to reach me, but all I got was a rather curt, "Goodbye!" Not one to be outdone, I rang back during normal hours, and when someone picked up, I cheekily replied with "goodbye," mimicking their rather standard voicemail. Oddly enough, the chap on the line requested me by name, which was quite baffling as I hadn’t a clue how he’d got it. To make things even more perplexing, he didn’t identify his company at all. So, I thought it best to cut the conversation short with a quick “busy,” and hung up. Quite the mystery, isn't it?

i got a call from a different bishops stortford number saying i qualified for a £500 gift card for new windows or something like that. seems to me like they want me to set up an appointment so some sales rep can come and pitch their products. no idea how they got hold of my phone number tho, i only share it with close mates and family.
