I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT OpenReach, saying there was an issue with my phone line. I hadn’t reported anything wrong and as far as I know, the service is fine. He asked if he could link a BT server to my laptop for some tests. I told him that sounded risky and asked for his contact number so I could ring him back. He said he got why I was worried, but insisted that was the only way to find the problem.

Today I got a couple of calls warning me my internet would be disconnected, they said to press 1 to stop it.

Got a call that sounded like it was from some BT tech team or something, but I didn’t stick around to find out what they were after. Typical long-distance sounding scam, I reckon.
