My landline rang from this number but I didn't pick up. It went straight to voicemail but there was no message. I don't know this number at all. After reading some comments here, it seems like a scam, so I've gone ahead and blocked it and removed it from my phone.

Pretending to be from BT, they've rung up insisting that my internet's been compromised. Quite dubious, if you ask me!

The call came through at 8:21 but nobody left any message.

The call came from a number near my area, so I picked up. The person said they were from BT and worried about my internet connection. I ended the call straight away since I’m not with BT. After I hung up, they called back almost right away, but this time I didn’t answer and let it go to voicemail. There was no message. I’m going to block the number now and report it as harassment.

total scam - got one of those classic "your broadband is being hacked" calls, trying to scare you into running netstat to "prove" there's suspicious activity on your line. complete rubbish, just a way to freak you out.
