Got a call from some guy claiming to be from “BT” who said he'll keep me safe from hackers - bit rich coming from him, eh! Told them off and asked them to take me off their list because cold calls like that aren’t allowed. What a pain in the backside!

This number (01279 419188) has rung me four times this morning alone. Now, when it rings, I answer and blast a dog whistle straight into the receiver, full volume. Twice, there was no response at all. One time, a woman with a British accent claimed to be calling about some "no fault" car crash they say I was part of. Another time, it was a guy speaking with a foreign accent, but I hung up before hearing what he wanted. I’m really fed up with these calls. I thought the government was meant to be cracking down on them, but from what I can tell, nothing’s being done.

Got a call on Monday morning, around 9.20am, from 01279419188. The person said they were from BT and claimed my broadband was at risk, but I don’t even have BT as my provider. They asked who could get into my computer. This was the second time I’ve had this type of call lately, so I told them off sharply and said they should be ashamed for trying to scam people. I’m based near Kingsbridge, South Devon, and the caller insisted they were from BT.

Got a call early Monday from some bloke claiming to be from BT Security, sounded as dodgy as anything. I like winding these types up for a bit; they reckon I’m some easy mark because I’m old or something. After a good five minutes of them trying their spiel, I just cut them off. Got a phone call about 8.30 on a Saturday morning while me and my husband were still in bed (I’m not feeling well and he’s doing late shifts at the moment). Our daughter picked up, and when she said we were asleep, they actually asked her to wake us up! She mentioned the person on the line spoke with a foreign accent.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from BT’s Security Team, said it was about my internet being at risk or something urgent like that. When I asked him to prove who he was or give me any info about my BT account, he just couldn’t do it. The more I pressed, the ruder he got. In the end, he just dropped the call. Definitely one of those dodgy scammers.

I got a call claiming to be from BT Security and that they'd connected me to BT TeamShare? They even said I was linked to the National Crime Agency or something. I just ended the call straight away and unplugged all my gear. Not taking any chances with stuff like that.
