Got a call from Fortress Grounds Specialist on 01275020004. A woman asked me if I’d been in a car crash, like I’ve had a few calls like this before. This time I said ‘yeah’, and then a bloke took over the call. He wanted to know when it happened, so I said ‘yesterday’. I asked him how they got my number and he claimed it came from the ‘Road traffic departments’. I told him he was making it up and told him to remove my number from their list. Then the call just cut off.

Just like what others have said, I got a call from Victoria Collier or Colyer - some sort of automated voice saying they’re Fortress Ground Specialists Claim Vultures. I asked to speak to a supervisor right away. Then a person with a thick foreign accent came on the line. I told them they were being illegal since this was at least the third time I asked them to delete my number from their system. After I said that, the call abruptly ended.

Victoria rang me once more! If you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s a pre-recorded message that kicks off by reacting to your “hello.” When you answer positively, like saying “yes” to her last question about having an accident, she then transfers you to some call centre. I always get a laugh out of it - I told them “Victoria mentioned she’d fill you in,” which always leaves them baffled! Unfortunately, they hide behind fake numbers that don’t work if you try calling back, making it tricky to report.
