I got a call with some foreign accent and background noise like it was from a call centre. The person claimed to be from the telephone preference service (TPS) wanting my info to send me a gadget that'll block annoying calls automatically. She went on and on about how the device could store loads of numbers, but when I asked how it could tell a genuine call from a sales pitch, she dodged the question. When I kept asking for her name and contact info, she just said she’d call me later and then hung up. Pretty obvious scam or nuisance call to me.
