Got a bit of a creepy ring at 1.45pm from what looked like my bank's number - the area code matched, but when I tried calling back, the bank hasn't said anything about it so far. Bit weird, to be honest.

Today at 1.44pm, I got a call on my landline from a number with my own area code claiming there was a major transaction being stopped on my account because it was being accessed from overseas. It sounded fishy so I used 1471 to check the number. I then biked over to my bank to verify and they said it definitely wasn’t them and warned me it was a scam. I’m on the TPS and have my number unlisted, so this call was very suspicious indeed.
