I got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from B.T., but he never gave his name. At one point, he said he wasn’t actually with B.T. and asked who my provider was. Even though I told him I use Virgin, he insisted I was still a B.T. customer and hadn’t paid my bills, warning my service would be cut off come Tuesday. The whole chat felt off, especially since he never asked for money or tried to sell anything. It smelt like a scam to me - why on earth would I pay for the same service twice? Just a heads up, I’d advise others to be cautious if this person rings you.
