Today I got two calls from what looked like a local 01278 number, so I decided to ring back. When I did, some automated voice started spouting crap about the person on some long extension number - probably around 10 digits - not being available, and asked me to leave my info for a callback. After reading other people’s comments, I’m pretty sure it’s a scam, either trying to sell stuff or fishing for personal info. I've blocked the number now.

I told them I don’t have any internet issues and they just ended the call straight away. Felt a bit dodgy like they were maybe trying to find a way to get inside my place. Watch out, this might be one of those scams to get access to your home.
