I received a rather forceful call from a chap who seemed to have knowledge of my address and claimed that a cheque for £3,500 was on its way to me due to some supposed distress I’d experienced following a car crash. The unsettling part is, I was indeed involved in an accident but it wasn’t my fault at all. I insisted that I hadn’t felt any discomfort whatsoever. The caller then informed me that if I didn’t claim this money that I was apparently entitled to, the insurance company would swoop in and take it instead, suggesting that we all put in the graft and shouldn’t let the insurers pocket our hard-earned cash. Despite my repeated refusals, he wouldn’t back down. Ultimately, I felt quite uneasy and simply hung up.

I've received a call from a firm named ICS, who were pretending to be local. They inquired about a supposed accident I had in the past three years. If your phone has the option, it's best to block this number immediately! The caller ID was listed as ICS.
