Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, trying to get into my computer. Turns out it was a scam, and we've had to block that number plus three others linked to the same lot. Seriously, don’t share any details or even bother chatting with them - just end the call straight away!

some bloke with an asian accent called saying he was from bt openreach, claiming there was an issue with our internet connection. like, who does he think we are? i just told him it was complete rubbish and hung up straightaway. if you want bt openreach’s real number, it’s 0800 023 2023 by the way.

some bloke with an indian accent working in a call centre read out a script really slowly. he claimed he was calling from bt openreach, warning me hackers were after my internet. it was obvious he was trying to scam me, so i told him he should probably go back to scam college cos he wasn’t very convincing. he got properly angry, shouted some rude words down the line and then just cut me off.
