Got a call from Virgin 02 and kept her going as long as I could. She kept pushing me to give her some code she claimed to have sent me via text. I kept saying the message clearly says not to share my code with anyone. After a while, I said I’d ring 02 directly to sort it out. She just said alright and then hung up.

This number has rung me about five times this morning. My phone, a Samsung, marked it as spam right away. The final call ended up with a voicemail, and you could tell it was some busy call centre based in India from the background noise. I phoned them back out of curiosity, and they sounded quite convincing but were definitely scammers pretending to be O2. They even sent me an email with a link that was supposedly for resetting my account, but was really to get access to my details. Watch out! (I also got in touch with O2 myself and they confirmed it was a scam)

Got a call from this number earlier today, around 2:10pm, on my mobile. A lady with an Indian accent answered, kept calling me "maam" since she had no clue who I was. She claimed to be from Virgin O2 media and warned me that my SIM card would get blocked in two days. Problem is, I don’t even use Virgin O2. Definitely felt like a dodgy scam call, so I just ended the call straightaway.
