Got a call where they already knew my mum’s address and wanted to check her name. Reckoned they were from the government and were after loads of personal details, talking about some energy voucher scheme. I told them to just send any info by post, didn’t give them anything. They’d been calling a couple of weeks before, asking for the homeowner and confirming name and address. When I finally picked up and asked who they were and what for, they just went quiet and hung up.
