Reports on phone number 01277509275
7 monthsSo I got a call about some flight deals, and the person said they got my details from the airport group, as if I was some loyal frequent flyer. Then later, the same number rang again but this time the caller said they were with the 02 fraud department. They seemed to know loads about me, which nearly had me fooled. But there was this one thing that didn’t add up - the fraud reference they gave didn’t match the real 02 one. When I asked them to confirm it, the caller just hung up. Clearly wasn’t who they said they were.7 monthsI got a call from this number, but I'm really wary of answering random calls, especially near Christmas. So my other half decided to ring the number back and a woman answered, saying she was from PIP. My partner quickly hung up on her though!7 monthsGot a call claiming to be from O2 since my number apparently shows up as Brentford. They said they wanted to send out a new SIM, but I’m not even with O2. Then they tried getting me to answer security questions, which made me suspicious straight away. I told them I wasn’t comfortable and had a feeling it was dodgy. Suddenly someone else got on the line. When I raised my doubts again, they just said alright and ended the call. Looks like a total scam to me. Would recommend blocking and reporting the number.Brentford7 monthsJust got one of those classic scam calls from an Indian call centre. Best thing to do is just end the call and block the number straight away.10 monthsGot a call from a woman with a really thick accent, made it hard to catch what she was trying to say! Turned out to be some sort of scam about the government handing out cash for new boilers. She was quite courteous though, so I just told her I'm not interested and asked her not to ring back - but honestly, I doubt they’ll stick to that. Heads up to everyone, don’t share any personal info with strangers calling out of the blue.10 monthsSome bloke rang up but wouldn’t say who he was. When I asked why he needed the owner, he got all aggressive and rude. I told him I was done and hung up, but then he rang back three times after that and never picked up when I tried to answer. Proper dodgy if you ask me.10 monthsI’ve started ignoring calls from numbers I don’t recognise. This particular one rang my home phone and when I looked it up here, sure enough it was a scam. Thinking it’s probably time to ditch the landline altogether.10 monthsGot a call on my landline from someone asking for my husband who died over a decade ago. When I asked who was on the phone, they just went silent. Honestly, it was really creepy and upsetting. Seems like these scam calls are just as inevitable in life as death and taxes.10 monthsGot a call earlier today from some bloke asking about the age of my boiler. I told him I wasn’t interested in a new one and that he shouldn’t be contacting me since I’m on the do-not-call list. Told him to bugger off and ended the call. Then he rang back twice more! Next thing, he starts calling me and my missus names, saying we ought to be locked up in a mental hospital. Seriously uncalled for.Submit Your Own Report (01277 509275)
