Today I got called twice by a company claiming to be Go Green, pushing some "greener energy" deal. When I told them I’m on the TPS list, they asked for a 4 digit PIN to supposedly take me off their calling list. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

Got a call earlier from someone going on about government energy rebates or summat. They mentioned T P S so I told them to buzz off, and then they hung up.

Someone just rang asking to speak with Mr XXXXX. I informed them Mr XXXXX passed away a couple of years back and that this number isn’t connected to him anymore. When I suggested they check the TPS register, they started pushing for some four digit code, which I refused and ended the call because they were being pretty pushy. Honestly, BT should really step up and block these calls once complaints come in. Surely it’s not that tricky if they can log numbers through the 1471 service?

A guy rang me at 10:48 on 02/11/15, said he was with Go Green. I asked him which company exactly, he mentioned something about the government and solar power. I told him straight away "no thanks". Just as I was about to ask him to remove me from their calls, he interrupted me. Weirdly, he knew my name.

Some bloke rang me up, asked for me by name, said he was from the Energy Assessment Team. I told him to say that again cause I was jotting stuff down. Then I asked which firm he was with, and he said Go Green. I asked for his number he was calling from, and then he just hung up on me.

Got a call at 12.45am - bloke quickly said his name and mentioned something about ‘Environment/Energy/Grants not claimed’, then asked if I was Mr ### at ### address? I just said, “No thanks, goodbye” and hung up... even though he had the right details! It’s so annoying having to deal with these calls. PLEASE slap fines on them and donate the money to charity - just make them stop! I’m on the TPS, but honestly, it doesn’t seem to do much.

Got a call asking for Mr ... who’s never lived at this address, the person said he’d update his records. Not long after, the same bloke called again, I told him he’d just rung, and as the homeowner I asked what he wanted. He launched into some Renewable energy spiel in a really condescending tone. I said I wasn’t interested and he got quite aggressive. When I told him again, he claimed I was shouting, which I definitely wasn’t. To make him stop, I had to just hang up. Proper rude and totally ignored that I’m on the TPS list.

Got a call from some salesman today at 12:57. He asked for me by name, but when I asked who he was, he said something about an "environmental care agency." I said alright, and then he just hung up on me. Then at 14:17 the same number called again, and when I answered, it was the same bloke asking if it was me by name. I said yes, and then he hung up again. I’ve left a message on their Customer Service asking them to call me back so I can complain properly. I’ve also reported them as a nuisance to Which and TSP.

A bloke called, asking for my partner by name. He claimed my partner owed him loads of money. I said “Oh yeah?” and he replied, “Yeah mam, really do.” Honestly, such nonsense and a complete waste of my time. He was also pretty rude and ill-mannered. On the 3rd of July, I received a rather unexpected call from this number. Curious about who it was and how they managed to obtain my unlisted phone number, I dialled back. The person on the other end claimed to be part of a renewable energy initiative but abruptly hung up on me. Undeterred, I attempted to inquire about their company name, only to be met with the same lady dismissively stating, "No - I just spoke to you," before she slammed the phone down once again. I genuinely think this matter warrants a report to the Information Commissioner's Office for their questionable practices involving unlisted numbers, not to mention a serious need for some lessons in basic communication skills!

A guy called on 15/06/2015 asking for my husband by name. When I told him he wasn’t here, he wanted to know when he'd be back, but I said he wouldn’t be. Then when I asked who he was, he just hung up.
