I called the number back, it was a Braintree area code, but as soon as I did, the call got disconnected straight away. It’s so annoying that phone companies that run landlines can’t stop scammers from using legit numbers. Sometimes these numbers actually belong to people who currently have them, which must be really distressing. Seriously, who’s meant to fix this? They need to get it sorted out, and fast.
