I picked up but there was complete silence on the other end. No one said a word.

Not sure who rang me from Brentwood, Essex, but I reckon it was a dodgy call. The person on the line just said they might have the wrong number and there was loads of background noise - like a noisy call centre or summat. Definitely felt fishy and worth checking out.

At around 7:40 in the morning, someone called me claiming to be Nick and was asking for Dave. He said he’d met me the day before, which caught me off guard since I was barely awake and a bit dazed. I told him to call back later in about 30 minutes. When I called him back, he quickly said sorry and admitted he had the wrong Dave. But it got me wondering, if I wasn’t the right Dave, how on earth did he get my number in the first place?
