So I picked up the phone and some curry-eating lady pipes up with, "Good afternoon sir, how are you today?" Instantly, you just get that feeling. My usual snarky reply, "I was having a fab day till you rang," got a weirdly polite, "I'm fine thank you sir" back. I cut her off quick, saying I couldn't care less about her health since she’d just wrecked my good mood. Then she just hung up. These telecom pests really are a pain, nearly as bad as those dodgy bank scammers.

Been getting nonstop calls about changing my energy provider. Ignored them at first but they just kept ringing. Best to not pick up, but brace yourself for repeated calls.
