Didn’t bother replying, just blocked straight away.

So this number called me asking to speak with the owner about some power outages, which made no sense at all. I just said I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Later I checked it out and turns out it's a scam - they've been going around with this number since last summer, changing the story but always trying to speak to the manager. Proper dodgy!

Someone said they were from 118 online. I answered and there was like a 3 second gap before they spoke. As soon as she asked if I was the owner of the business, I just ended the call.

Got a call from a friendly sounding Asian woman who wanted to know what hand I use to wipe. Before she could say more, I told her I don’t use my hands, I use paper instead. We both cracked up right away!

Conversely, if one glances at their website, discountutilities.co.uk, the only contact number presented is a mobile one: 07968 186482, which appears to reroute calls internationally. After a brief spell, there’s a noticeable shift in the tone signal that adds to the suspicion. Strangely enough, the site lacks any proper contact information or even an owner's name for this so-called enterprise. Moreover, it’s worth noting that a company named Discount Utilities Ltd made its appearance at Companies House back in 2013, yet it only filed dormant accounts prior to being dissolved in April 2018. Given these facts, it’s wise to disregard calls from this number, as they’re likely to be linked to scams or other dubious activities.

What a complete numpty rang me from this number! Honestly, I have zero interest in whatever they’re peddling.
