I received a call purporting to be from BT, stating their systems had detected an attempt to breach my internet. They inquired whether I was using a laptop or a desktop, to which I replied that I had a laptop. They then probed further, asking if it was portable. I clarified that, indeed, it was a laptop that could be taken anywhere. They proceeded to request I navigate to my home screen and describe what I could see. Suddenly, the line got all fuzzy, and another individual joined, claiming to be a supervisor. I merely told them I was fine and expressed that if anyone was attempting to access my internet, they were in for a challenge! I promptly ended the call. Oh, and there was quite a bit of chatter in the background, reminiscent of a call centre, and the accents I heard were distinctly Indian.
