Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying their system detected attempts to access my internet. They asked whether I was using a PC or a laptop, and when I said laptop, they wanted to know if it was portable. I replied that my laptop was one you could take anywhere. Then they told me to go to my computer’s home screen and describe what I was seeing. Suddenly the line got all crackly and another voice came on, saying he was the manager. I just told them I was fine and if someone’s trying to mess with my internet, then all the best to them. Ended the call there. Oh, and I could hear a lot of background noise like a call centre, and the person sounded Indian.
