Got a call from 01276 538312 where the woman claimed she was from British Telecom, saying my broadband was at risk and would be cut off in 24 hours unless I pressed 1 to talk to a BT tech. This was the second time in three days I got the same message, both times it went straight to my answerphone. Strangely, this number isn’t flagged on any of the usual nuisance call sites yet. After searching online, it looks like a scam very much like one that was going around last year.
