Got a call earlier today from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, asking me to confirm I was the primary user of my computer. I said, "what’s a computer?" then thought about it and remembered I actually do have one. So I told him I was using an abacus computer, version 2. The cheeky bloke just ended the call right after that.

Some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft rang me up, spouting the usual nonsense and cutting me off whenever I tried to speak. When I used the word ‘rubbish’ while saying I’d need to have his details checked by real tech support, he actually reprimanded me for it. Then he warned me I’d regret how I talked to him. Not long after, he told me to f*** off. I hung up straight away. Absolutely awful experience, I’ll be reporting it.

Phone rang Saturday arvo. My missus picked up and said she had no computer at home. Then she ended the call. She told me it was someone from Microsoft. That number now blocked on my phone. Problem is, they just switch to another number and call again. Once got a call from an Indian bloke who said he was ringing from London. I asked, “London, Bombay?” He said yes, as if nodding right there. Quite funny really.

I've received three calls in the past couple of days from this number. It's rather frustrating, isn't it? I can't help but wonder why our telecom providers, specifically Virgin in this instance, aren't able to sift through and block these scam calls that are already flagged in their system. It's about time they got their act together!
