Something about this just feels off to me.

Some bloke called himself Andrew, said he was ringing from Vodaphone. He asked for my address and when I was born. Then he promised to send me a £40 cheque and said he’d sort out a 24-month extension on my contract. I told him I wasn’t interested in changing anything, and he just said alright before hanging up.
