A chap claimed to be called Andrew, ringing me up on behalf of Vodafone. He asked for my address and date of birth, saying he’d send a £40 cheque my way and extend my contract for another two years. I told him I wasn’t interested in altering my contract, and without missing a beat, he said fine and then hung up. Quite the odd encounter, I must say!
