7 yearsThis number rang me and when I picked up, it went totally quiet. I decided to ring back, thinking it might be someone I know. On the other end, a bloke answered, looking pretty surprised when I told him he’d just called me. I get loads of random calls, but this one felt off. I tried reporting it everywhere, but apparently, I’m not allowed to because I’m not the actual victim. Seems like these numbers are being cloned and used to make cold calls - the chap on the phone said it’s called phone cloning, and that’s what ActionFraud, or whoever it was, told me. Nobody seems bothered about helping unless you’re the poor sod whose phone got cloned.
