the automated voice was surprisingly convincing, going by the name "victoria" and asking all the usual stuff right away. when i told it to remove my number, the call just ended straight away. i’ve blocked that number now just to be safe.

Got a call from someone saying they were with “Fortress Ground Specialist” telling me I’d been in a car crash and asked if that was right. It was one of those automated calls where if you don’t answer, the message just keeps going like you replied. I looked into it and there’s no such company. Total scam - best just block and don’t bother with it.

Got a call again from Fortress, but this time from a different number - 01276 071996. They kept asking about a car accident that supposedly wasn’t my fault, which is nonsense as I’ve never been in one. When I challenged them about breaching data protection rules by ringing me out of the blue, they just cut me off. Definitely reporting this to the ICO.
