I received a call claiming to be from the NHS, but I knew straight away it was a scam since I actually work there. They addressed me by my first name, which raised my suspicions instantly. The questions they fired at me included whether I had any Covid symptoms, if I was on any medication, and oddly enough, if I live with anyone who's below the age of nine. I received a rather peculiar phone call from what sounded like an Indian gentleman. Despite the unusual nature of the conversation, he had a bit of a comedic flair. Initially, he claimed to be calling from the NHS, but soon veered into some rather inappropriate territory, repeatedly inquiring about intimate matters. To my astonishment, he called me back four times, audibly pressing me with questions like “Do you fancy a bit of action? Are you getting excited?” He even had my full name, which gave me quite the fright! When he suggested the possibility of a relationship, I gently turned him down, as I'm already involved with someone. I've since blocked his number, but a word of caution for others: while this may not seem like a sophisticated scam, one could easily be led astray if they aren’t careful about what they disclose.
