I got a call not long ago from a number with a local area code, so I picked up. It was one of those recorded messages claiming to be from my bank’s fraud team, saying there were two suspicious charges from Amazon on my account. I hung up straight away since it sounded like a total con to steal my banking info. Amazon keeps popping up in these dodgy calls, so I’m sure it was another scam.
