I got a call from an Asian lady who kept talking in a language I couldn’t make out. I told her I didn’t catch what she was saying, then she suddenly said sorry Mr Jarvis. Which was odd because my last name’s actually Smith. Didn’t bother to carry on, just hung up.

It's baffling how they just don't get it when you say you're onto their scam, totally acting like some sort of robot ignoring everything. Feels like talking to a machine rather than a real person. Honestly, you'd think TPS would jump in and do something about these calls by now.

Had a call from an Asian woman whose English was really hard to get. I couldn’t make out what she was saying at all, so I just ended the call. Funny thing is, my missus got called twice from that same number yesterday! It’s 01275543168, somewhere around Cleveland. Same kind of confusion happened to her too. I’ve put the number on blocked now. If you’re with TalkTalk, dial 14258 and follow the steps to block calls like that. :)

On the 3rd of June, I got a call from a number I don't ever remember giving out. I’ve never seen or recognised it before, so I didn’t answer. I can’t hear the phone ringing anyway, as I’m deaf, so these calls need to stop once and for all.

On the 3rd of June 2019 around 4.45pm, I got a call from 01275543168 but when I answered, there was nothing but silence.

I have no idea who these callers are but they’re so irritating. A lot of times when I pick up, they just hang up straight away. Other times it’s some spiel about UK Benefits or Sainsbury’s vouchers - yeah right, I won a voucher, twice! And the worst was when they said HMRC had an arrest warrant out for me. Honestly, these sorts of calls have got to be put an end to.

Got a call from someone with a tough Indian accent who said his name was John. I told him yeah sure, carry on then. He claimed he was ringing from Sainsbury’s and that I’d been chosen to get some voucher. I told him that’s odd since I never gave them my number, then I cut them off and blocked the lot of those dodgy scammers. 🤬

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent who said his name was Alistair. Claimed he was ringing from some benefits office and wanted to ask me three quick questions. I told him I don’t do phone questions, but he insisted they’d be quick anyway. I said no again, but he just kept going. Mentioned I’m on the TPS but he still pushed on with his questions. Eventually, I had to yell STOP before he finally hung up. Seriously, there has to be a simpler way to block these annoying calls!!

I've been getting these sorts of calls nearly every day now. The moment I try to answer, the call just hangs up before I can even say hello. Seems pointless to keep blocking numbers because they always switch them up. Honestly, something needs to be done by the government to put a stop to these scams - they’re mostly harmful and go after people who aren’t so quick to spot the tricks.

Got a call around 8:40 this morning from a woman with an Indian accent, said her name was Jessica - seen that name pop up in other comments too. She mentioned something about UK benefits and was asking for the homeowner, but they weren’t in when she called. The same number buzzed me again at just before 3pm but I didn’t pick up then.
