Got a call from a robotic voice claiming to be from the HMRC fraud department, saying this number was linked to an investigation. It told me to press 1 to be connected to their office. The number had a Bradford area code, which isn't where my tax office is based. Plus, no legit tax office would just refer to a phone number without giving the actual company or person's name - something HMRC definitely wouldn’t do. Pretty obvious it was a scam straight away.
