Got a call from someone claiming to be with the domestic energy team about some energy loss survey. I told him I wasn’t interested and he immediately called me rude, using my first name instead of Mrs. Properly off-putting and quite pushy. If you can, best block this number.

When I answered, the guy on the other end was chatting to his friend, saying "they never pick up" before he slammed the phone down. What a bunch of muppets.

This number has rang me nan once more, saying she made an appointment when she definitely didn't. I've told them repeatedly to stop ringin her, but they won’t take her off. They mentioned they're from Domestic Energy out of Bradford, sounds like the same guy as last time. Proper annoying!

Taking advantage of older folks for sales. They reckoned it was fine to show up at my 84-year-old grandma’s place during the peak of coronavirus to do some kind of energy audit! The company rang ahead to say their rep was en route. When I told them to stay away, the person on the phone got quite aggressive and started being rude, saying I didn’t know what I was talking about. We’ve got quite a few tradespeople in the family and I’m no rookie myself when it comes to these things. Plus, the number they called from doesn’t accept incoming calls, which just feels dodgy.

I’ve been thinking about getting cavity wall insulation and maybe some double glazing done too. Heard it can really help with keeping the house warm and cutting down bills. Anyone had experience with these? Worth the hassle?
