Got a call with a recorded HMRC message telling me to press 1 to speak to an enquiry officer, but it’s a scam. The message said they’d connect me straight away, but don’t press anything or ring back. HMRC have confirmed this isn’t legit. Stay careful!

On Friday 20th December 2019, I got a call on my mobile from some bloke talking about stopping nuisance calls on my home phone. As soon as I asked why he was ringing my mobile about it, he hung up. The guy sounded like he had an Asian accent and said his name was Alan. Total rubbish.
