Today at around 10.20 in the morning, I got a call from 01274819352. The caller claimed to be from BT and said my phone line wasn’t secure. I didn’t buy it for a second and ended the call quickly. So fed up with these annoying calls.

Got a call from a landline that’s on the TPS list. There was this long pause then I heard what sounded like a busy call centre in the background. I just put the phone down.

Got a call from some bloke calling himself 'Bruce', claiming he was from BT but sounded nothing like he was anywhere near Bradford. He said it was about my internet connection. Honestly, I just laughed and told him to get lost. We don’t even use BT here, we’re on fibre optic cable. If these scammers put in a bit of effort before ringing, maybe they’d fool someone!

They started with the usual spiel about being from BT regarding my internet service, but I knew straight away it was a dodgy call. I called them out, saying they weren’t who they claimed, that it was clearly a scam. The woman on the other end just said, "Oh really?" and then hung up on me. The worrying part was hearing loads of voices in the background, like a whole bunch of people all on calls. It definitely felt like some big scam ring. Does anyone know who else we can alert about this? It’s gotta be stopped before more vulnerable folks get ripped off.

Got a call from a bloke with a really thick Asian accent earlier. Hard to make out what he was saying exactly, but he mentioned something about my internet and claimed I was getting loads of harmful stuff. Yeah right! I wasn’t in the mood to humour him, so I just asked who he was. Didn’t catch his reply properly, but I told him I didn’t have any issues and then, annoyingly, he hung up on me first. Probably an older guy, but thankfully still sharp enough to see through it!

Some bloke rang me claiming to be Michael from BT, saying my internet was under some kind of hacker attack or whatever, and offered to sort it out by giving me a new IP address. Bless him for trying! I kept him chatting for about 13 minutes, pretending not to get what he was on about, then flipped it around and let him know exactly how disgusting I thought he was for scamming folks. Told him he probably ended up doing this because he hadn’t got the brains for anything better. He got a bit shirty and hung up then. Oh well, at least for those 13 minutes he wasn’t tricking anyone else.

This is just rubbish. Classic internet con using VoIP caller ID tricks. Sadly, there’s not much you can do to stop it. It’s really awful how these scumbags target old people and those easy to fool. Honestly, I hope one day their own relatives get taken for everything they’ve got. Serves them right.

Got two calls, first one was some automated voice telling me my BT phone line was about to get disconnected. Then, not long after, some lady with an Asian accent called me and repeated the same warning. I seem to get these calls almost daily now. Honestly, why isn’t there anything done to put an end to these scams?

Received a call from this number earlier. A woman with an Asian accent said she was with BT and that my internet was hacked and would be cut off at 3pm. When I asked how she knew about the hack, she got really rude and snapped, ‘do you want your internet to be off for a whole month?’ Proper nasty attitude!

Got a call early morning, about 8am, no one spoke for a bit then a woman with an Asian accent came on. She said she was calling from my internet company and asked about my router's light colour. I said it was blue like it should be, then she claimed there was some kind of error. She then asked me to turn on my computer and open a website. I told her no, felt it was fishy. Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, but I couldn't make out what she was saying, so I asked her to repeat herself. She told me my BT line was about to be disconnected that evening and asked if I'd been informed. I said no, and also mentioned I don’t even use BT, so I wasn't bothered by it. Today, I got a call saying our internet was going to be cut off for a few weeks. I didn’t really listen much since it’s the second time they’ve called, so I quickly ended the call before they could give any details.
