Today, I received a rather alarming call from this number, claiming to represent BT. The chap on the line said they were worried for my safety, suggesting that my broadband was at risk of hacking. He then went on to ask if I could grant them access to my computer to sort out the alleged issues. Honestly, I'm convinced these people are the actual hackers! There's no way this is a legitimate BT call, considering that the number bears no resemblance to anything on their official site.

Got a call from some bloke using a different number claiming he’s from BT Openreach, saying my info is being nicked by hackers abroad all over the net. He asked me to install TeamViewer so he could control my computer. I ended the call, then another number popped up, and this time the guy said he was a supervisor asking why I’d cut off the last call. Fishy as anything!
