Some bloke claiming to be from Amazon Prime said they'd charge me £69.99 every month. Had no clue who I was or where I live. Proper scam artists. Trying to trick me like that, I’m reporting them to the cops now.

17/01/2020. Got two calls today. The first came from 01274580206 at 9:27am, and the second one was from 0127599259 at about 10:47am. I’d say don’t pick up if these ring you.

Got a call from an Asian guy saying my sky equipment cover had run out - problem is, I don’t even have any of that stuff! Pretty obvious a scammer working some dodgy call centre trying to catch people out. Told him where to go and wouldn’t deal with him at all, it’s definitely a con.

Got a call that just went dead straight away, came from a local or STD code number. Reading the comments, a few folks mentioned green energy companies - I’ve had similar calls before but those were mostly from Doncaster. Seems like a load of scammers to me.

Received a call asking for Mr and Mrs Madjuri Ali or something like that. I was like who on earth is that? Then the woman said it was Green Measures, trying to get me to put a wind turbine in my garden to save energy or whatever. I just told her to jog on.

Got a call on my mobile earlier today. Could hear that typical boiler-room racket in the background. The guy said he was from 'Green measures' and immediately started talking about insulation stuff. I told him flat out I wasn’t interested and he shouldn’t bother trying. Weirdly, he didn’t push back and just hung up. Sounded like he was properly bored making these calls, even if it wasn’t a total scam.

Got a call showing up as Spam - Yorkshire Painting Contractors, but no actual number displayed. I rang back and it came up as Green Measures! I found Yorkshire Painting Contractors’ phone number on Google, so that’s what I’ve entered here. Not sure if that was the real number that called or not. Bit odd, unless they’re connected somehow. Anyway, I’ve blocked it now.

This rude guy kept breathing heavy and then wanted to know if I lived at some address. When I told him no, he just ended the call.

Proper cheeky bloke ringing me up asking if I was xxxxxx and using my old surname. I told him I wasn’t. Then he goes on about how xxxxx must be leaving my old address. He sounded well full of himself. Told him he had the wrong person, and then he just hangs up on me calling me a lying cow.

Got a really cheeky bloke on the line, banging on about some cavity wall heat loss thingy, saying I should have been sent info and that someone was supposed to visit me - which they never did. I had no clue what he was on about. Told him if I wanted a test, I’d ask for it.
