I got a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, but it was a total scam. They said either my internet was acting up or I qualified for a free 200mbps upgrade. Then they told me to go to my computer and follow some steps, which included downloading TeamViewer and running some commands. After that, they "scanned" my machine and said there was malware. They even offered some kind of compensation but warned me not to fill out any forms with my personal info - it’s all dodgy! They’ll end up taking money straight from your bank account if you’re not careful.
