I recently received a rather suspicious communication from what purported to be Halifax regarding my savings account. They provided me with this number, 08451299790, which I strongly suspect to be fraudulent. It's quite possible that some of you have also received similar correspondence from Halifax or other banking institutions, claiming they intend to close your savings account and urging you to call this very number. Do yourselves a favour-steer clear of it! The letter I got turned out to be a complete hoax; both the account number and card details mentioned were incorrect. I wisely refrained from making any calls!

I've been getting persistent calls from this number, and it seems they're after banking details or something of the sort. The area code belongs to Bradford, if I’m not mistaken. Can anyone shed light on who might be making these calls?
