I got a call from a Bradford number and the person on the line said they were from HMRC, but it was clearly a robot. They kept saying I’d be arrested for fraud unless I talked to an advisor. Definitely not anything to do with HMRC, I’m sure it’s just a scam.

Got a call from a Bradford number where some robot voice said it was HMRC. It warned me I'd be arrested for fraud unless I spoke to one of their "advisors." Definitely not linked to the real HMRC, seems like a total scam to me.

I received a recorded message purporting to be from HMRC, threatening me with arrest for fraud unless I agreed to speak to someone. I hung up immediately. Quite confident it’s a scam, or perhaps a rather hypocritical case of dishonesty. My advice: steer clear and don’t engage!
