Got a ring today from someone saying it was about my windows. Told them I wasn’t interested and asked why they were bothering me. When they pushed, I said first off, a big firm like Window wouldn’t be cold calling like this, and second, tossers like you pretending to be them are just scammers. Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft Office, saying I needed to log into my computer to sort out some issues. The caller couldn’t explain when I supposedly reported any problem. When I said no and wouldn’t log in, they started being really rude and called me names before just hanging up. Definitely don’t think this was a legit call with that kind of awful attitude.

Just like loads of people here, I got this call from a woman with a foreign accent who couldn’t hear me properly. After a few tries, she just hung up. Typical spiel really - one of those "I’m calling from, uh, Microsoft" scams. It’s pretty funny how they try to keep you talking without any clue who they’re actually calling. They usually have to pause and look at their notes before dropping the “Microsoft” line. You’d better not trust them if they want you to carry on!

The first time she called, it was a different number and she said her name was Victoria (definitely didn’t sound like a Victoria at all). She then told me there was a problem with my computer and that it was sending error alerts to them. She asked if my computer was switched on. thanks for sharing this info. i keep getting nonstop scam calls about “my laptop” or something like that. after falling for the first one from 0015865850144 - which keeps calling now and then - plus 001342891548, ive started ignoring calls from unknown numbers. sad to say, sometimes i do get tricked by calls showing as withheld or no caller id. lucky i wasnt home for this latest one. if it had shown a uk number, i probably would have picked up!
