I got a call from +44 1274 611270 about some Aviva insurance discount or something. Right away, I guessed it was dodgy because why would an insurance firm ring the husband about his wife's policy? When I asked them to clarify what insurance they were even on about, the bloke went off on one, started cursing and then just hung up on me. I wouldn’t trust this number at all, looks very sketchy to me.

Just like loads of others have said, it was a fake Postcode Lottery call. They claimed I’d won a discount card you can use in loads of stores and even a family holiday. They asked how old I was, then said they’d send a 1p transfer to confirm, but I didn’t give any of my info and just ended the call.

Got a call on 7th August 2021 from someone named Jennifer, but her accent definitely wasn’t local. She only used my first name and told me my postcode had won some kind of lottery. Said I’d get a voucher I could use at places like Tesco and Asda. Mentioned I had a whole year to spend it, but wanted my bank details to “activate” the voucher. Total con, no doubt. They told me I'd won free holidays and supermarket vouchers but then asked for my sort code and bank details to claim the prizes! Obviously, they have zero connection to the actual Postcode Lottery.
