Got a call on 8th December around half past eleven in the morning from someone claiming to be Peter from Microsoft. I told him straight away he wasn’t from Microsoft and that he was trying to scam me. He got abusive and swore at me just as I ended the call.

This morning my husband got a call, and when the woman asked him to do stuff on his computer, he just acted like he was typing. She wanted to know what appeared on the screen and he just told her straight up “it’s a scam!” That totally set her off, she started shouting all sorts at him, like calling him stupid and a complete idiot. I got a call about half past twelve from someone with an Asian accent who kept saying my surname wrong and called me "Mr," even though I’m a woman. Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft's tech support. I mentioned right away I was recording the call. Without missing a beat, the guy dropped a proper string of swear words and told me to basically shove it, then just cut me off. some bloke rang me saying he was from the windows support team, claiming there was a hacker who'd put a virus on my pc. i kept asking if he was really from microsoft and he insisted he was, saying he already had my ip address so i should trust him. he tried to get me to turn on my computer to "show" he was legit but i wasn’t having any of it. i asked for my ip address a few times but he just kept dodging it, then after about 3 or 4 times repeating himself, he hung up.
